The Hotel

The convention hotel is the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort. It is located on Victoria’s inner harbor. It provides fabulous views of float planes,  yachts, passenger ferries,  water taxis, whale watching boats, and more. Across the water, you can see the BC Legislature building and the Royal BC Museum.

The hotel is easy walking distance to downtown Victoria, where you will find shops, restaurants, and wide variety of tourist activities.

The Gyro International Convention

9-13 June 2020, Victoria, BC

Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia. It has the best climate of any city in Canada, and June is the perfect month for a visit. The city regularly ranks among the top tourist destinations in North America – for example, as number 2 small city in the 2017 Condé Nast Readers’ Choice awards.

The many attractions include the world-famous Butchart Gardens, the Royal BC Museum, Fisherman’s Wharf, Beacon Hill Park, Chinatown, whale watching tours, floatplane tours, and much more. More atractions are located a short distance outside the city. They include Pacific coast beaches, spectacular old-growth forests, mountains, and vineyards. It is well worth staying after the convention to explore some of Vancouver Island.
