A now retired university professor who taught and researched computer science for 40 years. He specialized in systems software, particular in compilers which translate high-level programming languages into low level machine language.

As many Gyro members know, he participates in the annual Naked Bungy Jump held every February at WildPlay Nanaimo to raise funds for the Victoria Branch of the BC Schizophrenia Society.
